do you have a dedicated damage control team (DCT) assigned, or will you be pulling crew members from other duties when needed?
If a dedicated team, just populate the DCT boxes and leave the crewmembers there. When you need damage control you hit the button that shows the wrench and crewmen on it, this will cause the damage control team to become active (you can double check by looking on the crew page and seeing that the DCT boxes are highlighted.

I have assumed that you know your way around the game interface, if not then maybe someone can explain with screenshots. Good luck and Happy hunting

Gunny.. just recruit extra crewmen to the DCT before you leave port.

You won't have to worry about moving crew back & forth to it while you're out hunting. When they get tired.. they'll take a nap. As stated before, the only thing you'd have to worry about then is sending them into action when needed and turning that same button off when not.

Welcome aboard!
