Intel sneaks ahead of AMD with 51.53%
nVidia is the clear favourite with the Geforce 6600, 7600 & FX 5200 taking out top three positions while ATI gets a look in at number four with its Radeon 9600

Just over 1% of gamers are equipped with a DX10 videocard.

47% of gamers have between 512mb to 1gig of RAM

Onboard sound is the clear winner ahead of dedicated sound cards with Realtek AC97 Audio.

92.84% use Winxp
5.46% use Vista

I'm not surprised there is a lot of ATI 9600 users on steam. I got my copy of HL2 bundled with my old video card.

Yeah and i wouldn't be surprised the only games these gamers are playing is HL2 & Counterstrike - so no need to upgrade...:)

Pretty much. I had trouble playing SH3 on my 9600 nicely, i'd hate to try SH4.

CS is boring now, once I found battlefield 1942 I haven't had much time for it. Plus I miss the old CS beta maps. Bring back CS_Mansion!!

BTW, SH4 runs as a slideshow on a 9700 Pro (my old system had one), which is substantially more powerful than a 9600 (8 pipelines to the 9600's 4).
