Good point there. I know in Melbourne horses must use a dung bag. Bit differant than the towel like nappy they showed for the donkey. I'm sure they are pretty heavily priced for your average donkey owner as well.

Not here, and we have plenty of horses - Münster and Warendorf is a centre of horse (and shooting) sports in Germany. Many German olympic winners (in both sports) come from here, and train here.

However, dog owners are encouraged to use small bags to clean the leftbehinds of their darlings from the streets.
