I must type fast and I must type silently! The unthinkable has happened. U-46 and her gallant Kaleun Harry Frank has been captured. Further operations are not possible. I am at my wits end.
What makes this harder to bear is that U-46 was not forced to surface after enemy action nor was she rendered incabable by the elements. No, it is less glorious... U-46 and GWX have been confiscated!!!!!
What treachery I hear you cry! Treachery indeed I reply.
I climbed from my bunk this morning after a hard weeks toil and prepared myself for a relaxing day of sinking enemy shipping and generally doing my bit for the Fatherland. My girlfriend however had other plans for my sunday. She took out the disc and substituted it for a cleaning cloth. Apparently she had friends calling round and the apartment had to be cleaned!!!
I tried every reasonable argument. That I was an officer in the Kriegsmarine and under the Geneva Convention could not be forced to labour... that didn't work.
I told her I didn't like her friends and shouldn't have to clean for them... that didn't work and earned me a dirty look. I pretended to be dead but after 3 mins I had to start breathing again so that obviously didn't work. I was defeated at that point.
The end result was me cleaning the windows, the bathroom and scraping what was possibly the cure for something off the inside of the fridge door. Then I had to listen to inane babble about crap and pretend to like people. At last the house is peaceful once more but I cant find where she hid the disc and I'm not about to wake her up to ask her. And I have to be in work in 7 hours. My weekend is gone.

That's where the "small-proggie-that-shall-not-be-named" comes in handy. Disc? I don't need no stinkin' disc! ;)
:D
 Yes, manual labour for officers is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions. Ask for divorce papers provided by the International Red Cross. What brand fags would you like me to send you?

my wife and i have an understanding...
1. My days off are called "My days off" for a reason. If shewants me to clean anything or do any "Honey do's" she has to catch me on a work day. (I work out of town 4 days in a row)
2. when we were married i had to lose the Giant poster of the Hindenburg exploding with the caption "Oh Sh*t!" i also had to loose the cardboard cut out of Dr. Evil that talks when you walk by him. My manly, awesome dwelling place retreated into one room of the house so that the rest of our house could look like a "home"- so in compromise i told her that i would be responsible for cleaning "My room" and she will be responsible for cleaning everything else.
3. No messing with my beer - unless it is in the process of being passed from her hands to mine - or being poured into a frosty mug
4. Children who visit must remain outdoors until they are too physically exhausted to remain awake.
5. She may fire my deck gun provided I am aiming, she sits on my lap during the process and only shoots when the shells are likely to hit the water line (she is a first rate gunner)
In the end my will to do the things i want to do is stronger than her ability to stay mad about it.
She is a good woman who knows what she is supposed to do when i make the sound of a bottle cap being popped off a cold one. I couldnt be happier unless we lived together on a VIIC stalking some unsuspecting merchant!

This story is the funniest I have ever read about here at SS.
as an advice I could tell you that prisoners used to do all their effort to give their cellars the hardest time possible. Perhaps you should try the same. :arrgh!:
Another alternative, would be that you folow suit and do the same (eye for an eye).
I run out of options, but I hope you can retrieve your disc soon enough... ;)
Best wishes...

I've gone three months without SH3 due my computer being at my old house ( I got married and moved into her place). It will be moved this weekend, but I will have no where to set it up and play it!
Guess it's back to mopping the floors and peeling the spud's!

I think it's all wrong - you need to look at it as part of SH3. You just got back from a month-long patrol and while you're on leave she wants to spend some "quality time" with you before you head back out.

I have 3 copies on hdd - stock, gwx stock and gwx moddified (running without the disc which is safe in my cupboard together with Das Boot Directors cut lol).
Breath taking story! but in my case I would kick that girl out. No remorse no regret, this is not a thing that can be done to a Kaleun :arrgh!:

My partner is rather understanding.
We have 2 computers next to each other, she reads Kiwibiker and I scream at Benard.
I have been trying to get her to sing along to "It's a long way to Tipperary" lately lol
And I just got my own copy of "Das Boot" the other day, after my work ball :D
I'll have to make her to watch it with me soon. (btw it's the directors cut too lol)

Your woman just doesn't understand the sub culture. What you need to do is let her experience the thrill of going down and playing with a periscope.
Demonstrate for her by going down and fiddling with her torpedo tube(s) and she will soon come around to your way of thinking.
It won't be long before she is making excuses to her friends, or maybe better still, suggesting a little wolfpack action.

Here its easy..
she is like Berlin, far away (at the scouting a lot in the weekends) and when Berlin is available, she is watching London broadcasts. (TV).
Her little minions (kids) are in the Afrika korps (often out and away), and the smallest
minion, Donitz (the dog) is just sending a message every couple of hours. (pee).
The only trouble the U69 has is the Acedemy (work), they never stop demanding presence.
