motor bike riders

Anyone here ride a motor bike? if so what sort of bike is it and post up pictures :D



Not only that i need to get a 125cc bike to do my test on as its alot easier to ride a bike to work than take my 2.0litre car (it guzzels fuel) so if i can get a little 125cc bike it would save on fuel.

also how the heck do i find out about doing my test finding information about bike schools in essex?

help would be appreciated but post pics of your bikes anways :D

For lessons try google.

If you don't need a bike at the moment than dont buy a 128cc. Almost all training centers will lend you a bike for the lessons and the test.
If you do that then you wont get stuck with a 125cc bike when you can legaly drive a bigger bike.

If you are under 21 you will get the limited licence. You can then buy a bike limited to 33.3bhp.
If you are over 21 than you will be takeing your test on a 500cc bike and you will have no horsepower limit.

Been riding bikes for years now but I currently don't have one. I've decided to get myself a DR-Z 125 for the same reason Kapitan (My 3.0 V6 chews a little too much petrol and it's getting costly).

Unfortunately Australian road laws requires me to get a 125 for 6 months. Therfore i'm looking at this

I have a Honda CR250. No real good pictures though. It is set up to ride in the sand dunes so just imagine a 250 with a nice big paddle tire on the back.:up:

Yeah, I absolutely love my bike. I have popped a wheelie without even wanting to in 3rd gear going down a small incline in the dunes. It was when I was first learning to ride and it threw me back so much that I couldn't let back on the throttle! :lol: I finally got her whoad up though.

I started riding that 250 when I was 10 or 11. My feet couldn't touch the ground when I was on it so the only time I could stop was when my dad was ready to catch the bike as I rode in to him. Either that or lay it over. Good times! I just had to rebuild her recently though because the engine let go. Actually the radiator had a leak and it just overheated unfortunately.

Anyway, I love bikes. I really want to get an old Triumph.

Not sure how it is where you are but here you have to ride your own bike to get a licence, myself i dont have motorcycle licence yet and only ride my bike when im at my country home. my granfather left his 1962 Iz Jupiter as inheritance for me when he passed away. Its a two cycinder 350cc two stroke. Have rebuilt the engine with new pistons, connectiong rods and crankshaft to give a higher compression ration since it was originaly designed to run on 76 octane which is not available anymore and runing it on 95 octane would have casued damage in the long run, though that did increase the power but allso the fuel consumption a bit.

It was £4 extra where I went and an additional £5 to use the bike to take my test.
Some places even lend them for free. My lessons where £30 per hour and I had4 or 5.

Contact some bike schools to find out about prices in your area.

I really dont think it's a good idea to be stuck with a 125cc after you have finished you'r test. They are slow (this can make them dangerous vis. cars overtaking without care) and many are unreliable.

No, in the UK it is more common to ride a bike from a schooling/test center.

Its called a Ninja 500R on that but it must be a foreign model because its deffo the GPZ500S. Its restricted atm to 33bhp, because even though I've riden for nearly 4 years and done all the tests my government believes that all riders are incapable at riding a full power bike :damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn:
