Patch 1.3 Not fully Downloading - Help !!

Anybody out there having problems with downloading Patch 1.3. I am repeatedly getting a file size of 157Mb..should be 210Mb. Running the file gets me the MS send to MS error. I have tried several DL sites including UBI. (NB DL speed 2.5 to 3Mb/sec)
All suggestions greatfully recieved.:down: :down:

I have had similar problems in the past. This issue was being caused by my router and it's built in firewall.

Not sure what your router or config is but my router is a Belkin N1.

Basically what I did to solve my problem and still be secure was to just add a rule within my router settings to allow ports 80 and 28900 entry to my network.

28900 is UBISOFTS port and 80 is the standard internet port.

Depending upon how your computer/network is secured (even with the Windows Firewall) you may want to try opening these ports.

You can also perform a easy sniff test if you are running Windows XP to determine if the port is being allowed. You can do this by navigating to your Control Panel, and select Windows Firewall. Select the Advanced tab and then select Settings from the SECURITY LOGGING section. Click on the Log Packets checkbox. Enter a name such as firewall.log (i.e. C:\firewall.log) and click OK.

Now try downloading the patch again. Once it fails open this log and review it.

I had a similar problem, but had success at the ausgamer site, the patch fully downloaded, no issues.

:sunny: Thank you gentlemen for your replies, I just tried again !!!! From the UBI site and it DL'd and installed with no problems (4.5Mb/s). Computers Doh.:sunny:
