I've seen quite a few, I'll try to list here the ones I've seen, looking for more that are worth watching:

Das Boot
Red October
Crimson Tide
Grey Lady Down
Below (very different, highly recommend, many have missed this one)
Run Silent Run Deep
U-571
The Enemy Below
K-19
Phantom: The Submarine (korean)

A lot of the remaining ones are older and I find them a bit cheesy. I hate to say it but I didn't enjoy Gray Lady Down that much due to the cheesy effects and age of the film (I was born in '76, forgive me.)

The next few I planned to see are Torpedo Run, We Dive at Dawn, Hostile Waters (Rutger Hauer - sounds like a B movie), and The Bedford Incident. Which of those (or some other?) would you recommend?

You seem to have picked most of the common ones and in amongst those the very few decent ones there are. Most submarine movies suck unfortunately, but there's entertainment to be had in poking fun at the ones which suck too.

Two you may or may not be aware of are (both hard to find in English by the way):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406941/

and

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401089/

Of these two, Lorelei is laughable in most respects (but then again so is Crimson Tide and that didn't stop a lot of people from liking it), so, worth a look if you are really into subs, 72 Metpa is quite a good movie however, with a decent Ennio Morricone soundtrack too.

You already have Das Boot on your list. If you have not seen the 5 hour Uncut version I would highley recomend that. It is a much different experience between that and the other verions. The characters are much more developed and there is much more nuance. It is unrivaled. Of course get the German version with subtitles. If you have seen it forget my post.

Cheesy or not, I just gotta recommend this one:

Take Her Deep was a cheesy love story but it had some great shots of the submarines in action.

U-boote Westvarts. Filmed in 1941 in Germany. It comes without subtitles, but it's pretty easy to understand. Fairly standard fare, but interesting because Admiral Donitz plays himself.

I think you can see the whole thing for free on YouTube.

The Bedford Incident is a good film. It was certainly a cold war anti-nuke movie but the drama builds well. The focus is on the DD driver not the Sub.

It is part of my DVD collection.
