Nothing too bad about it. At age 94 she lived a long life and was at the heart of the US political scene in the 1950's through her husbands presidency.

Lady Bird lived a long, productive, and influential life, without inappropriately interjecting herself into the political debate. We should feel blessed that she was part of our lives. God bless her.

Shows how much I know; I thought she died years ago.

I just read an online article, and though it told how she got her nickname it managed to never mention her real name: Claudia Taylor Johnson.

A great lady.

Trivia

Lady Bird Johnson and Bess Truman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bess_Truman) are the only First Ladies of the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Ladies_of_the_United_States) to have lived at least 90 years.

Lady Bird Johnson outlived one of her successors, Pat Nixon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Nixon), and three of her husband's successors as president: Richard Nixon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon), Gerald Ford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Ford) and Ronald Reagan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Reagan).
She was the only living presidential widow from May 19 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_19), 1994 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994) to June 5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_5), 2004 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004), between the death of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacqueline_Kennedy_Onassis) and the day when Nancy Reagan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Reagan) was widowed.
Lady Bird Johnson personally knew every other First Lady from Eleanor Roosevelt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleanor_Roosevelt) through Laura Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Bush).
Lady Bird Johnson was protected by the United States Secret Service (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Secret_Service) longer than anyone else in history.
Although in attendance at the inauguration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inauguration) of President George W. Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_George_W._Bush) in January 2001 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_2001), Lady Bird Johnson was unable to attend the state funerals of former U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Reagan) in 2004 and Gerald Ford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Ford) in 2006.
Lady Bird Johnson was an honorary pallbearer for the funeral of former Senator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senator) Lloyd Bentsen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Bentsen) of Texas in 2006. However, it is unclear whether or not she actually attended the funeral.
On September 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_13), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006), Houston (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston%2C_Texas) news anchor Bill Balleza, when reporting on the death of Ann Richards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Richards), said the former Texas governor's death had come as Texans were still mourning the "recent passing" of Lady Bird Johnson. Balleza was actually referring to Nellie Connally (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nellie_Connally), the former First Lady of Texas, who had died on September 6 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_6), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006).
