Weird game crash, need help

Hello,
Whenever I resume a patrol, the game has a very choppy frame rate and my boat dives very fast, always to the bottom, as if in a time compression. I let the boat implode and the cause of death was by ramming. I dont believe I was rammed, as there were no ships around when I saved.
This has happened once before, and SH3 Commander went nuts, I had to uninstall it and reinstall. It happened after I downloaded the weather mod. Now I'm afraid I'll have to uninstall sh3cdr again.
There may be something wrong with sh3 itself. In which case I'll have to do a complete uninstall. However, this only happens when I load via sh3cdr.
I hope there is some way to fix this. Being apart from sh3 is a bummer.

Maybe it's the same problem if you use the longer repair times mod.

Its more likely the weather mod than SH3commander

There is a fix & this is directly caused by the SH3 Weather Mod.

IIRC you need to make a few adjustments in the campaign layers but I don't know the fix off hand as I dont' use SH3 Weather.

The answer is in this forum and fairly recent too. Have a search.

I didnt save while submerged, I was on the surface.
Yes, I'm in agreement, this started when I first installed the weather mod. My game started acting screwy, like the submarine detect-o-meter not changing from red when nothing was around, then it did a complete meltdown.
No one knows a fix for this?
I uninstalled sh3 commander and then reinstalled it with no problems and then the crash happened again. I'm thinking that the actual SH3 files are corrupted somewhere, and if this is true, then I must do a complete uninstall and reinstall of SH3, GWX, and sh3 commander.:cry:

I uninstalled everything and did a complete reinstall. Havent encountered the problem yet. But if I do I now know what to do with the campaign files.

This is the exact problem I one patrol after installing SH3 Weather--merely altering the Windspeed to 1 fixed it.

I don't use the weather mod I always change each of the mis files and should only be changed at the beginnig of a new campaign, certainly at the start of a new patrol.:yep:
