How I survived this slaughter, I spotted a small fast convoy there was two passenger ships with three destroyers as I got in to position one of the destroyers spotted me so I fired off my torps at the first passenger ship and bingo got it. But I got clipped by a destroyer and by a slim chance I took it out with my rear torps then dived which resulted in a bloody good pounding by the Japs.

Crud, I was facing a one way trip to the bottom but my quick thinking slamming in the emergency reverse and blowing my air tanks slowly bought me up rear end first which stuck out the water, one of the destroyers bashed in to me and then I was up on the surface. Well the other destroyer was blind sided by the other passenger ship so I slugged it out with the first one which for some reason did not fire at me so I gain the upper hand.

The second destroyer was now in the clear and was inflicting damage on me but I stood my ground and fired back and some how destroyed it. Then I focus back on the other destroyer and polished him off then I fired my torps at the remaining passenger liner and sunk it, after which I limped to wards Midway for a refit then back to Peal.

I just got no idea how I survived the odds were against me and some how my crew pulled the poker out the fire.

Question on Passenger ships. Are they troop ships deploying troops? I've sunk 3 so far and I'm just wondering if I'm helping the Allied effort. If not, I'm killing off a bunch of tourists. :oops:

No need to worry for your country will applaud you ( maybe :roll: ) as all the passenger liners are Troop Transports in SHIV. :up:

Well if you don't see hundreds of cameras going off it's a safe bet the passenger ship is full of troops. :rotfl:

The average Japanese tourist is mad as a hatter years ago there was a false bomb care in London and of course the police were moving everyone back, the funny thing was a group of Japanese tourist were moving forward and taking lots of snap shots. :rotfl:

Usually you can run upwards of 2500 to 3000 on the liners... They were worse than steerage class as far as being packed in..

Good target for a mod methinks. So they are identified as troop transports instead of passenger liners. Small thing, but annoying enough. Probably easy to fix.

Besides, sinking the transport/liner is my goal, killing everyone on board is just an added bonus. :arrgh!:
