There's some crazy stuff going on around there.

You got your gas mask?

Uh oh (http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1183901655986&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull)!

And we've been told by someone in the know that they're of minimal benefit. Use your imagination.

Yeah, I read that the other day, that's why I was asking.

They aren't useless. That's activated carbon and it'll trap smoke and other stuff that would otherwise clog your aveoli. Sarin in aerosol form, chlorine, mustard and other caustics. It's better than nothing. A long, tight-fitting raincoat with long sleeves and elastic wrist bands can also protect you from blistering agents. If you can get ahold of some atropine and alcohol wipes, that would be another step up.

Doesn't do much for those Katyusha rockets with 40,000 ball-bearings. It's amazing that people wank about cluster bombs and anti-personnel mines, but CNN doesn't say squat about the Katyushas. I guess it's just really bad for business if all your journalists are getting shot all over the world because you reported some atrocity.

Most of such reporting is not done out of fear, rather out of love.

The thing about a gasmask is you have to change the filter, iirc every 4 to 6 hours.

If you've had NBC training, you know you are pretty much FUBAR'd in a prolonged NBC attack.

Just make sure you hold your breath while changing the filter lol . I feel sorry for the authorities in Lebanon...so much s**t is been thrown at them from Syria, which is also most likely backing Hezbola along with Iran...which is now trying to overthrow the ligitimate government via a military coup. Now they've had chunks taken out of their boader regions while the world sits idely by wondering how many pairs of shoes victoria beckham has bought in her latest shopping spree! And not a single word is said about it! MADNESS! The media needs to actually start reporting on stuff which is important to the world...not this random pointless c**p!

They reported the use of cluster bombs by both Israel and Hezbollah here in Australia.

I'm glad that Australia shares no land border with another country. Sea borders are a pain, but at least it's harder for someone to cross it!

So im wondering what exactly has gone on in the region recently that Israel is preparing for another war with syria?? have we missed some fiery diplomatic exchanges?

I do wonder why Syria's withdrawing all their citizens tho?

"Sunnis, Christians and Druse on the other (side)"

hell, maybe we should hope that it does happen like that - if you can get those 3 working together in lebanon, maybe other places around the region might wake up to themselves and figure out that its possible and ought to work like that anyways... the mingling i mean not the warfare bit

I thought Syria ran Lebanon anyway? Maybe I am missing something here.
