Take a long at this:

The heading for this topic of discussion is:

"Italians Build Atomic Laser"

http://www.photonics.com/content/news/2007/July/6/88328.aspx

Sounds interesting enough to check out, right?

But if you go there the topic has no real meat. All they really want you to do is join them and post with them and run up there hits to get more from advertising income.

I'm running into more and more of this ... one news item I clicked on wanted you to pay $4.95 for the rest of the story.

Are yall running into this new news topic ploy to get your interest?

I'm sorry; I'm trying to ignore grammatical errors, but two in one heading is too much for me to stay quiet.

If it refers to the ploy of one group, it should be group's ploys, and if there are multiple groups it should be groups' ploys. In either case, there is never an apostrophe in the plural ploys.

Sorry. Normally I just grind my teeth, but sometimes I just have to...

On the other hand, I've been trying to get a life, but it doesn't always work out like you plan. Small $#!+'s all I have right now. Besides, some of us believe that a little education is good for the general welfare.

Still, if it made you yell at me it was worth it.
