Help on two fronts

1- How do you pick up survivors? It's a "blue" allied lifeboat. I come up to it and nothing happens. I even bumped it going 1knot.
2- I'm playing the campaign and both my objectives were met, sailing out to a designated spot and sinking merchant vessels. I'm out of ammo and go back to port and the mission won't end. I even docked in a slip at Manilla. Very frustrasting!
I have version 1.2 and losing interest real fast. Can anyone help?

I saw in some of the threads you can lauch a boat to pick up downed pilots..How do you do this? It's no where in the manual. Can someone tell me how to do it.

When surfaced, close (<1nm) and slow (1kt) get on the watch deck, point your binoculars at the raft and click on the 'rescue' icon in the watch officer toolbar.

Good luck. I got this mission once and after spending an hour trying to chase down enough pilots to 'satisfy' the mission requirements I finally gave up.
