Renown!!!!!!

Hi.

How does one edit it so he gets more renown? I would like to start a career with a suped up boat near the end of the war.

You have to edit the Flotilla.cfg file. At the end of every year/flotilla block you will find a line that says: Renown00= 500 or something like that and there you must change it to the value that you want, let's say 2000.
You must change it for every year/flotilla that you want to start with the renown of your choice.
But notice that if you pull this value too much, somehow you won't get promoted, that means that you will stay as Leutenant Zu See until the end of the war. I think there is a limit of renown, anyway that's all it will happen. It will not cause you any problems. ;)

Or you can go start a patrol and quit before you leave the dock and edit your patrol files soo you walk away with like 10000 renown points for doing nothing, you have to go into your personal files and to to Patrol00 i think and at the bottom there should be something that says Renown:500, then change it to Renown:100000

Um hmmm many things will mess with ur promotion, and renown is one of them, if your using SH3 Commander then you will have to um i forgot the term, but make sure ur SH3C files wont corrupt your SH3 files cause then your game wont run, but anyways, you start of as a LT, if you make ur renown i think 15000 then u get promoted, but wats the fun in that.
