if by knocked back you mean TC is reduced, try running just above periscope depth. there your hydrophones won't pick up an enemy. try around 50' to start

I really do not think there is a way around stopping TC from dropping when a ship is detected.:hmm: In all reality it is a feature you need. This saves from running into them thus ruining what you have done. Man, have ran into ships and land before sinking my boat while in TC:shifty: . Thats a whole other thread;)

The reduced contact mod will help some. So will the revised campaign layers. But your still going to get knocked to 8x occassionally. Then theres the aircraft.

BTW you want to go you NY and FL :hmm: I'm puttin a word in with comsubpac about your suspicious behaviour !

You're off to NY eh? Have they put the Panama canal in? Or do you have to go around southern America.

Well, i checked on google earth and found where the Panama canal should be. And have found the same area on the in game map, it's definatley not there. I find this quite surprising giving the overall high accuracy of the map. Guess it would have been too time consuming to put in the locks and other features associated with the canal, tho they could have cheated and simply put in a river for us to sail on. But that wouldn't have done now, would it:hmm:

well I figured it out, I did the torpedo attack sub school mission. Once you get far enough away from the sub you will be able to go at 8000 without it knocking you back alot.

I traveled to antartica, brazil, cuba, mayport, ny, england, and then asia, africa and back to midway haha

most of the ports were alike, new york is the exception. The statue of liberty was visable as was most of the skyline.
