Few "noobish" questions

Hi guys,

I've just got myself a copy of SH4 and install it. Tried it a bit. But I've faced several (noobish) questions. Would you mind helping me by answering them? Thanks in advance!

(1) I've played SH3 for months and knows that Black Swan class DE is a formidable foe. Do such a deadly opponent exists in SH4? If so, would you mind letting me know his name. If not, I wonder which is the best sub-killer in SH4. (p.s. I've seen some of the DDs in SH4 only own several K-guns with no racks, and they're unable to hurt me if I dives)

(2) Do we have any mini-mod that tunes down the Japanese air patrol? (It seems that it is overdosed) If so, can you give me the name of the mod so that I can find it out easily? Thanks

(3) Mk.10 is remained in inventory as S-class subs needs them, yet other ships used more "advanced" Mk.14 (which has major flaws at the beginning of war). Can a S-class sub use Mk.14 and other WWII subs use Mk.10?

(4) I've heard that Americans reverse engineered G7e fish for their own use, and there is a version of Mk.24 Fido mine for sub use against ASW vessels (Mk.27 if I'm right). Do you guys when these fishes are avalliable for use?

(1) Can't say for sure as I avoid all DDs like plague.

(2) There are a lot of such mods, try to search the modding forum.

(3) You can use Mk10s from any sub; due to Mk14's depth issue the Mk10 are the only reliable anti-DD weapon available early-war. I usually had at least 1 Mk10 loaded with one spare, for those times when I *really* need that DD gone.

(4) I've heard of a Mk 27 torp but it's not available as of mid 43. Other more seasoned member could provide more info.

(1)The most dangerous DD is the Akizuki... with a gun armament matching that of a small cruiser there is no way engaging it surfaced... and when submerged it has 2 DC-racks and 4 K-guns to send you to the ground... but all this counts nothing with a novice-crew... then they are easy... they don't detect you and they do not throw so many DCs... an elite-crew on such e ship is almost always deadly for you... they fire all K-guns and release about 16 DCs from the rack... and there is very little chance to survive a well place attack from those...

thanks for you guys' answering for these questions. I just wonder where can I get those aircraft tuning down mods? Do you have some suggestions?
Does RFB/Trigger Maul mods apply these modifications to the game?
