I thought it was just a bunch of crap when people talked about the flying dutchman, but today I met her. She's doing 25 knots!!!!!

I wanted to make a pic with the sub next to her, couldn't catch up. There's no way in h*ll you'll be able to do that, unless she's headed straight for ya.:arrgh!:

Does it attack you or is it just there as an easter egg? Personally I hope never to meet her as its probably very back luck for your boat lol.

Well, you now what, a couple of days later (I'm just patrolling over there) Davy comes checking again. Never saw her before, and now she's showing up 2 times a week. This time she came straight at me.

Date first encounter: feb 10 1942 time : 0930 pos : 20-10N 121-40E
Date second enc : feb 14 1942 time : 0630 pos : 20-50N 120-40E

Funny thing is, I heard the anti collision sound, it's reported by sonar as a warship, when in front of her she tries to avoid you, and when shooting at her all shells went through her without hitting.

Currently I'm running away like h*ll, I'm afraid of the KRAKEN:rotfl:

I tracked the darn thing for an hour. She makes prop noises! Needless to say after saying 'cool!' I got bummed for tracking only to find a ghost ship:o

Man I gotta find this baby - with my Nuke Tambor doing 42 knots I wonder what will happen if I ram her.......... The devs really added a heck of an easter egg with that one!

You can try to ram her, but I think you'll go just through her. My shells did anyway. It is a nice thing to encounter though.:up:
