With great fanfare, U-3504 slid down the ways at the Bortwerks yard just outside Chicago, adding yet another U-Boat to Illinois' collection. The excellent Revell AG 1/144th scale Type XXI went together easily and plus painting and decals was launched just 3 days after the keel was laid. :arrgh!: I had a fun time with this one, 1/144th scale is excellent for subs if you aren't crazy or well funded enough to tackle the 1/72nd scale VIIC and Gato that Revell AG offers.
Here are some pictures of the brand new submarine:

The whole thing all together!
Next up in line from Bortwerks Chicago is a Tamiya 1/48th scale Tiger I with die cast metal body! After that comes another from Revell AG, the 1/144th scale VIID.
I can't wait!
