That is great news. There are diseases even more deadly than AIDS that is might help too.

Long before the Sopranos, HBO was putting on great programming. This docudrama about the AIDS epidemic has a great cast.

It was done at the "Max-Planck-Institut für Molekulare Zellbiologie und Genetik" (MPI-CBG) in Dresden and the "Heinrich-Pette-Institut für Experimentelle Virologie und Immunologie" (HPI) in Hamburg. Tthe involved scientists expect practical relevance (medications) not before ten years (at the earliest).

The resulting drugs, as it seems now, also will be very expensive, which means that most patients around the world will not be able to afford them.

The creators of HIV will think of something else by the time the cure becomes available...:nope:
All we can do is hope for the sake of humanity, unless NWO takes over...:-?

If it is successful I hope it's released at an affordable cost...unlike some of the advanced medicines for some forms of cancer :yep:

Amazing!

There are a few kicks, though:

*SCIENCE CONTENT AHEAD*

1) You would have to pump your body full of the stuff to allow it to reach every part of your body.

2) It still kills the host cell. In doing so, though, it stops the ability of the virus to reproduce if attacked at the right time. Short term: Bad Long Term: VERY good.

3) Tests still need to be done on multiple (thousands) human genomes to ensure that it (the enzyme) does not target normal, uninfected cells.

In all, this is a good first step in ridding the world of this epidemic. Hopefully, it will eventually become as sucessful as the removals of Smallpox and Polio were.

Here is a sure cure. Don't have unpretected sex with multiple indescriminate partners.

Yes. Even better, totally abstaining from sex is the only proven way to reduce the risk of getting an STD to a 0% chance.

Unfortunatally, a lot of women in Africa do not get that choice.

Apart from the fact that many sufferers got the infection from blood transfusions or because they were born from a mother who had the infection, so that's that suggestion out.

Or have an accident in Africa and need a tranfusion.

Or have hemophelia and live in Africa.

OK let me be more specific before someone says my suggestion isn't realistic.
I haven't advocated absenance.

Educate, By now the entire world knows the hazzard. If people don't know teach them. If no choice exists, then that is a different problem which must be addressed.

Blood transfusions, if you hadn't had one since 1979 you are safe. If you are in Africa of your own volition you know the risks. If you are there by birth or some other circumstance this is where education comes into play.

BTW not every human being will get the message or be able to comply with the warning. That doesn't make the advise any less valid. No one can save the world and as soon as that is realized the better everyones life becomes.

US policy in this regard has not helped. The Bush Administration has been rather "anti-rubber" on religious grounds.

Have sex without a condom and see how quickly you go back.

The best way to avoid it is to trust your partner, if she is a tart then cover it.
