I would like to take this opportunity,on behalf of the population of the UK, to apologise to the rest of the world for the reforming of the spice girls and their world tour.
They are going to be coming to a major city near you in their quest to raise some cash to support their z-list lifestyle.
They have new names:Common, Lezza, Ginga, Granny and Psycho.
Do not approach them as they can be considered toxic and dangerous.
I once again apologise to you all for any damage caused or pain inflicted.

Ah god, no...
It was bad enough the first time around the council estate :dead:
Now all of their fans have grown up and got lives, do you think they'll still be interested in seeing them jerk about like slappers again?

Questions:

1. Is this a whole new girl band?
2. Will they lipsink all the songs?
3. Will we see pictures of them naked?

AL, you in the UK? Welcome aboard!!

Now, while you're here, be sure to check in with Scotland Yard, ask them if there's any radicals they need 'removing', oh...and apply for the job of Head of Security while Gordo is arranging his government.

You're in the wrong part of the UK ;) Been quite sunny here today, although a bit nippy.
Whilst you're here though, why not take a gondola ride through Sheffield? :-?

Back on the Spice Girls. David Beckham must be well happy that Posh is going to get off her skinny anorexic bum and earn some money again.

I hated their music, and their style. Later, Emma had one song that prooved to become a year-long "Ohrwurm" for me: that was "Maybe", also with a very slick video: talking of swinging sixties! I love the swing of that song.
But beyond that one song, neither Dido nor The Corrs would touch any of their songs even if payed a record fee, I assume.

AAARGH!! Don't mention the Corrs! I come from the same town, and there was a time in the late 90's when you couldnt get away from them.

The pub they played in before their success is one of my favourites. I was in there two nights ago, playing music with some friends. Much better than "runaway" or, god forbid, "so young"

PS - Bah! John Holland is a much better candidate for famous resident :D

Not to get too far OT, but I loved the Nene album 99 Luftballoons. I couldn't understand most of the songs, and I drove my roomate in college nuts, but I loved that German pop sound.

Rette Micht was my favorite.

Nena...!!! She had a advert campaign before a concert in the Berlin Deutschlandhalle. "Who the f#ck is Nena? Find out at Deutschlandhalle." Anyway, some of her songs rocked. She is very much loved and respected in germany today, after having to take several very hard blows by fate - but coming back from the dark with openness, kindness, and no bitterness, but quite some honest-meant love for children. She's definitely not my type, but I must respect her.

Apology NOT accepted. I will be calling my government and requesting that war be declared immediately. All ties are now broken, all bonds are null and void. This abomination must be stemmed immediately. Beware, we go to war. :stare:

You'd better keep running :p

There's constant fighting between myself and my Scottish mates over who colonised who (England wasn't coloniastion, just enforced RP and tea)

Well, God bless the British Isles. Actually it's one of those loaded geographic/political terms. We just haven't found anything to replace it with.

Some of us colonists thank our cousins across the sea for the rule of law, the free market system, and for God's sake, most of all, winning the French and Indian war. Some of us might wake up in sweat thinking about being a subsim moderator, I wake up in a sweat imagining living in a civil law state and then thank God for King and Montcalm!

lol. :)

actually, I'm pretty serious about this.
