I know there's been discussion about the whether or not American submarines returned to a dock celebration as did the Germans. I found the picture below at

It's of the Wahoo returning to Pearl after its third patrol.

If you look very closely at the picture (go to the website), you'll see white spots where the wartime sensors blotted out the radar heads for the SD and SJ.

So, maybe with patch 1.3 Ubi should activate the fanfare at Pearl and add some people at the dock.

I like your idea for a mod to provide some home-coming celebration. This sort of thing contributes a lot to "atmosphere" which I find essential to a great sim (which this is). I always enjoyed the brass band and waving crowd sendoff in Silent Service.

What a motley crew! The first thing I noticed on looking at the full-size picture is that while all the 'players' are wearing standard white pants, some are in white jumpers, some are wearing pea coats and some are wearing skivvie shirts! Must be the Pacific - nobody stateside would get away with that!:rotfl:
