Where is a Great White when you need one:) Even downed pilots are refered to as "Merchant" by our clever sonar man.

He must really be making a lot of noise if the sonar man can pick him up. I also bet he's wearing a LOT of steel since you can get a ping off of him :o
perhaps he lunched some beans....you know.... odd noises and bubbles.....

Perhaps he is uhhh... soiling himself at the thought of a submarine being used as some sort of 'probe'.
No really the follow should not be heard on sonar or radar.
Sampans
Rubber Rafts
Life Boats
Swimmers
But I guess the game considers them all 'objects' and all 'objects' can be "heard".
Oh yea again... would the watch crew quit calling them ships please :hmm:

Actually the game calls anything that floats and is not a warship "Merchant". Even landed seaplanes :doh: (which, by the way, is also referred to as a 'ship' by my periscope watch).
