Hi all,

I saw a thread on this once before but after searching the forums this morning I can't seem to find it.

I started a new career, it got late, I saved it and went to bed. I loaded the saved game again this morning and my Nav Map is full of diagonal stripes. I thought I saw a fix for this a couple of days ago but can't seem to find it now.

I'm running SH4 1.2

Thanks in advance!

Yes there is a fix: DON'T USE NO-DVD CRACKS

The more sales SH4 has , the more chance of there being an SH5 .

Just what is that supposed to mean? I find it quite rude to assume I'm running a cracked version.

Right on the money! Thanks! I went back to using the disc in the drive and my map is back to displaying normally.

He wasn't being rude, he was making a reasonable assumption.

It is becoming well known that a number of graphic problems that people report as "bugs" are as a result of the copy protection picking up on people using either warez versions or no-cd cracks. We have had a number of people come here complaining that SH4 is a "buggy mess" only to find out they are using stolen versions. Some people (myself included) find this very irritating, so there is a tendency to jump to a conclusion. Most of the time it is the correct one.

I am sure no offence was meant.

a proper statement should be stickied to avoid this kind of threads

re what John said, my prob, in the link, was the result of certain vid card settings, not from from any kind of crack

No thats not what he was referring to as you had issues in all views.

The nav map being broken into 'stripes' is a known issue when using cracked versions.
