In general, it's the Chechen war (the history and facts of which I've studied in excrutiating detail) that has influenced my mindset in regards to the nature of violence and ethics.

Nice! The 2nd one is by a favorite band of mine, Kukryniksy :rock:

And while we're at it, here's an actual music video dedicated to Grozny (called "Dead City/Christmas") by DDT, who gave concerts for the troops during the conflict and their singer Yuri Shevchuk went to see troops at the front and was caught in the fighting (and was stuck in a basement with a completely encircled unit for two days) - which by the way is described in that book I linked above.
