SUBSIM SH4 Patch 1.4 Bug & Discussion Thread

Yeah, since patch 1.3 will come out in some weeks (as many of you already do), I wanted to be prepare the list of bugfixes for the next patch (yeah, that's v.1.4).

We all know that each time a new patch comes out, minutes later subsim forums are flooded with requests to release patch 1.4 and with threads that flame UBI...

So let's keep it organized and put everything here!

First of all I wanted to start a poll, something a-la last one where this community begged UBI to release the new patch (1.3 that is)... As I've noticed, it was a big joy for many of you, so let's do that again, I'm pretty sure we'll have to do it anyway sooner or later to please UBI :roll:

And here's the list of the bugfixes that we need to fix in v.1.4:
The new radar suck, please bring us the old broken us. We've fixed it already anyway!
Include all of CaptainCox' mods into the new patch
Fix the Death camera so we can see who the hell sinked my sub!
Make it possible to walk on the tower
Fix the Free ViewMore to come... :88)

Basically, patch 1.3 sucks, bring us 1.4 please! PRETTY PLEASE? :yep:

Ok, I can see we may need a patch 1.4. But why is your tone so negative? I don't believe anyone is going to take this serious anymore for one moment. Well, at least I'm not.... But that's only my humble opinion.

I've been reliably informed that 1.3 will save the world from hunger and cure cancer. 1.4 would make it worse again, so I'm 98.7% against it. The other 1.3% of me is uncertain whether I'll live to see 1.3, so what's the point?:rotfl:

Skippers, let's be honest. Patch 1.3 is already in the make.....VERY NICE!! 35 years in the navy taught me that there is not an ideal (navy) world. There might be a spare parts problem, a crew problem or whatever.......(It is just only the allotting of money). Stil we are trying to perform as expected by our parliament (or should I say countryfolks) which has hardly an idea what is going on. Improvising is the name of the game.

Frustration, Boredom, Anger = Patch 1.3

After numerous test scenarios with and without the excellent modifications created by the Subsim community I have come to the unalterable conclusion that the good in this game is far out weighted by the bad.

Sadly, I do not think patch three will be the miracle we all need.

I am somewhat distressed that I paid Ubi over $50 bucks (taxes and such) to be a beta tester for what could have been the greatest WW2 Subsim ever. Granted there are but a few thousand of us, not the millions the suits would like, but with this kind of low quality work (Not talking about the graphics they are great) there will never be millions.

I have read different statements of what many people think is wrong with this game – etc. One thinks the damage control works fine and another one thinks it sucks. I for one, agree with the latter. :down:

That was only one of many problems that should not have been in the first place. Yet, the Subsim community continues to do the work for Ubi to try and salvage something that is headed for the deep six, already past crush depth. That is loyalty.

Ubi does not care. They already have your money.

A person would be very lucky indeed to have friends as dedicated and loyal as this community has been to this sim.:arrgh!:

"How long did we wait for patch 3 in SH3? I would rather wait a while and have them get it right or a least some things. I doubt they have had time to read through all the suff people want fixed yet. I hope the moderatiors of this site cut through some of the BS and helped the Dev team get a good list of what really needs to be fixed. Hell, I'm 60 years old this week and I would rather wait a little longer, than to have a heart attack because they forgot to fix something that is hard wired that the mod community can't fix. :up:

I did mean what I said about the modders tho, if it wasn't for them I really don't think the game would be that playable.
