I'm sorry about this guys if it has been already mentioned and doubtless it has - but my forum search didn't produce any results - thats why I've kept the thread title to search words - time acceleration repairs torpedo reload.

You guessed it,

when I assign the repair crew to a particular job for example: minor repairs on the flak gun - it seems to take almost a day in some cases with time acceleration up to about 256.
This I could understand depending on the damage from Torp Boat heavy machine gun - a round or 2 could bend the loading system out of whack - or even the barrel come to think of it.

But damn near half a day to reload the tubes..??
I can't believe that.
Unless it was to reload reserves - a dangerous and risky procision business - best done at night.

Is there some issue with the time acceleration regarding repairs and tube reloading?

I had the repair crew max-ed out and the foward tube bay max-ed out with personel also.
I am using no Mods what-so-ever only Latest patch version.

Do you have any crew skilled in torpedo loading? if not i recommend you invest in some, also an officer skilled in this skill makes things a wonder to behold, i spent 500 renown on an officer skilled in gunnery, engines and torpedo's well worth the investment the experience level of your crew doing said job also makes a difference I think and how tired they are etc.

The green bar above each compartment tells you how efficiently its running try and max that bar out to get things running nicely

with realistic reloading times on I can have a tube reloaded in about 10 minutes real time. :up: thats using my uber officer + 3 crew skilled in reloads + any extra random seamen i might if my crew is a bit tired at the end of a patrol/engagement

7 minutes is what I manage to do for a single tube reload with full efficiency and realistic times, that is everyone in the compartment has a full bar and the compartment too.

I usually don't use tc above 64 when performing reloads and repairs none at all, although manning the compartment they're repairing with crew as well as sending in the damage control team speeds up the process a lot. especially useful when fixing flooding

Be careful looking at the torpedo reload screen while at high TC's. If you come in contact with anything, the screen will lock up and you may freak out that you cant get out of the screen. Just press one of the F keys to go to another station and that clears things up.

Once, with a green and tired crew in a type II. I had to submerge and let everyone rest for 24 hours before doing a reload.

Normal reload times with fresh crew is 7.5 minutes per tube.

When transfering external stores, sometimes you need personnel in both torpedo compartments.
