I decided to start a new career in 1939 with my trusty Type II out of Kiel using GWX 1.3. With it's limited range I have encountered a couple of challenges.

1) Is there anyway to keep the TC in the Kiel Canal to keep on reverting to 4x in the angled portions. Which cfg parameter do I need to change to keep from jumping out of TC. Note: I am using the pre-plotted course from the GWX search pattern for the Kiel Canal

2) Is there a way to "pull into" a base to just fuel up without having to wait 30 days and effectively being put on a different patrol? This is more of a stock SH3 question but I find that traveling at ahead slow I still burn about 1/2 of my tank just getting to my patrol grid.

Any help is appreciated

Hello btaft:
I can answer only the first question, for the second, you will have to wait until another kaleun reads it.
If you are using SH3 Cmdr, then you can change your time compression setting there, you must look for the line that says: " Land Proximity:" or something like that, the best value u can use there to go through the Canal is 128X.
I know tthat there is a .cfg file you can edit too, but I can't remember the name right now and can't look at it, I am at the office. ;)

Docking at any base - friendly or home - as well as resupply\milkcow will auto end the patrol
If you use SH3commander it recognises other bases as resupply and sets days in port to 1
You home port will always be the normal length

Thanks!

Looks like I will have to look at getting SH3 Commander. Is it posible to install mid patrol or should I wait until I dock.

SH3 Commander is a totally separate program, therefore you can install it without being in base. However, I would not try changing anything until you finish your patrol. Perhaps Jaesen can answer this part.
