Hello people;
Anyone out there with a pair of headphones that you're really happy with, could you get back to me with the brand and model?
Cheers...and thanks. :)

Can't really help you on the subject, but I've used mine Philips SBC HP890 headphones for about 2 years now and I wont change it to anything...

Good luck finding the headphones You love! :)

Here's 2 reviews from Amazon:

Firstly, these headphones are big! no photo will ever give away their actual size. But don't be put off by that, they're not heavy or uncomfotable. Thier luxurious velvet ear cusions provide superb comfort, even for long periods of use, and they don't get all sweaty like leather cusions!
Sound wise, they produce a full bodied sound, crisp clear highs and detailed punchy lows. For those who like to listen loudly, they cope fine, only when pushed to the top end of your voume selector will they begin to distort.
The build quality is good and the detachable cable a handy idea. The speaker drivers can be adjusted to many angles, ideal for DJ's and they've also included a very handy stand for when they aren't in use.
Give them a listen with your favourate CD and see what you think!

I recently purchased a pair of these headphones after I accidently broke my beloved 12-year old Sonys. The Philips phones cost me less than half of what the Sonys did, and to be honest the 890s sound better.The frequency range of the 891s is more than wide enough for any type of music. They have a smooth response with warm lows, sweet highs and a well defined midrange. I have used them on DVDs, music and computer games and they sound very crisp and produce even small details very clearly.
Due to the large felt ear cushions these headphones are very comfortable to wear. They are a little on the large size, but build quality is excellent. You also get a nice stand for you phones too.
Summing up a top notch pair of headphones at what can only be regarded as a budget price

AIWA used to make a fantastic pair of $19 Headphones, but I believe they have discontinued this model.

If you find them, I would buy 5 pairs. They sound unbelievable for the price.

Absolutely and totally agreed! :up::up::up:

I would personally recommend their HD280 or HD515. I use HD515 because they're more open and therefore easier to listen to for extended periods of time (on the other hand, unlike HD280, which my brother has, they are not very good for listening in noisy environments. That's really the main difference between them and the quality on both sets is equally excellent.) Both of them are somewhere in the $100 range nowadays.

My brother also has their PX100 set, small and quite cheap and has pretty amazing sound quality for something that size.

Also from my brother, a certified audiophile - if money is no issue, a set of in-ear monitors (he uses Shure E5's, they run for about $600 in retail) is probably the highest quality, but I'd never shell out that much for a set. :doh:

i've got £120 HD 595 Sennheisers and they're pretty good. there is a pair above them though. Grado are pretty much the best too!

Outstanding, people; thanks for the feedback...
I have been leaning toward a sennheiser set; so far been eyeing the HD595s because of the numerous 5 star reviews, but will research the other suggestions before I commit.
Cheers!...

Yep, Grado have great sets! But a step above in price, too...
