Recently had an irritating problem with IE7 that I recently corrected, apparently it's a MS update that is screwing around with IE7. Here's the website to help you correct the problem if you come across it.

1) what problem :rotfl:
2) The IE7 in itself is a problem, Get Firefox (http://getfirefox.com)!

One of the big "faults" of IE7 is that it cant download files bigger than 2GB. Whats up with that?

Mozilla Firefox for the win!

Are you trying to save the files on a FAT32 partition? FAT32 has a 2GB filesize limit.

Nah, that's not a problem... There's a workaround (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298618) where you can maximize it up to 4Gb (which still sucks), but it's not a main problem... Anyway, this isn't the subject of this thread :p

I thought it was well explained in the link provided, but I'll make it short.

Apparently, MS put out an update (kb931768) that caused IE7 to not open a browser and prompt a download of a navcncl.dll file, which after having been downloaded would not allow IE7 to work. The link provided above gives instructions as to how to correct the problem.

That was all.

Hmmm, never had that problem (using IE7 only for testing some of the websites to make sure the "right" way (as Firefox renders it because it supports all the web standarts) look proper).

Why are users shifting to Firefox? Have a look here (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/), here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oIot3Qxu_U) and here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9BON5nd8Fg). Also my main reason is I decide in what way the browser should work and which functionalities it should have (and which not). You simply don't have that type of control in IE...

Would I still be able to access all of my favorites that I have saved up if I switched from IE7 to firefox?

Yup, Firefox imports bookmarks and favourites
