Nice one, had a quick look, and obviously it is still under construction, but it's looking good so far - I'm glad you've gone for clear and concise info rather than flashy looks and no substance as some sites can do.

Keep up the good work, this is an area of U-Boat history where decent sources of info in English are a bit thin on the ground, so I certainly welcome any new arrivals!

Fnding info about german U-Boots of that era is nearly a nightmare, so any more webs dedicated to that are always wellcomed:up:

I suppose you know already Heinrich Lang's (aka Deamon) project to build a WW1 sub simulator, which has a forum also here (Imperial U-Flotilla). You can browse there as there are tons of links and useful stuff to enrich your web:up:

P.S. a section dealing with technics would be really nice (Tools, machinery, etc.)

Great idea. I can't do it right now, but when my computer is set up I can send you some info. I was working on a WWI naval timeline for another board for the 90th anniversary, but got sidetracked. I have a bit of collected information I'll send.

What was his name now... Kapitan De Lothar De La Perriere or something... wasn't he one of the WW1 U-boat aces? Was of French descent, kinda ironic having a guy who has french roots aboard a German U-Boat.

That would be Kapitanleutnant Lothar Arnaud de la Periere

The greatest U-Boat ace of all time (54 vessels sunk on one cruise).

Hey Gert,

nice idea. How do you came to that ? :hmm:

I have actually a similar site running: http://www.dreadnoughtproject.org/heinrich/main.htm

Hey Gert, could it be that you are from Denemark ?
