Has this happened to anyone before?

Did a reinstall yesterday cos i screwed my install up removing a mod, and this happens after about 15 to 30 mins of play.:damn:. It's not always the same textures that are messed up and i can't think of any reason why it's doing this all of a sudden. Running the latest vid drivers and no problems like this before reinstall.

See if other games screw up after 15 minutes as well (at least, some graphics intense ones).
Video display going wonky after time, is indication of overheating of the video card. SH4 is very draining on Vid cards.
If it was something else, there wouldn't be a 15 minute delay.
PS: although, the interface looks fine. Weird.
One other thing i forgot to mention. If i alt tab out and then back in, the textures go back to normal. unfortunatley the controll room background noise gets stuck on. You can hear it when in external views or at the sonar station, though i remember this being a feature in SH3 as well.

Call me crazy but... try re-seating your video card. As it pull it out and put it back in.

When you reinstalled it did you make sure everything was deleted from where it installed at. Mabey it didn't delete everything before the reinstall. Whats your computer specs?
I don't think its your video card because you said it worked fine untill you screwed it up when trying to remove a mod and reinstalled it.
Didn't see this post until now but I get the same problem as I posted here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=116217

Yes that's the exact same problem i'm having. Had no problems before reinstall. Will check that gfx card is seated correctly and if no joy will uninstall and reinstall making shure i delete everything as i go.
I just did a complete reinstall to have a clean slate to build on for some of the various mods I'm installing.I was sure to remove all the folders from "My Documents", as well as the folder in the "Ubisoft" file. Everything reinstalled without a hitch, and the game with all mods I chose plays fine.
Ae you certain this is not a heat issue?

Definatley sure about that, never had this problem before yesterday. Have made no hardware changes and have not moved the base unit. Will check inside to make sure the cooling fans arent fouled up somehow, tho everything sounds ok.
A couple months ago I started having strange graphic problems. Tried all the usual, new drivers, different monitor, resolutions, etc. etc. What cured the problem was when I blew the dust off my video card. Go figure. lol

What sound card do you have?
What sound card do you have?
It's a Realtek onboard sound card, however the same problem happened with my old system and SH3 (i had a creative extigy external sound card on that one). When i alt tab out then back in whatever background sound was playing, eg controll room or sea noise for ext. views, would get stuck on no matter what view i was in. Could ignore it untill i wanted to use sonar station, then the sound would block out the sonar noise.

I had a problem with SH3 when ALT-TAB in and out, nav map was corrupted in external view....:hmm:
you guys are out of control. the interface in the screenie looks fine, so its not his computer, or vid card. something was wrong with the games graphics.
