As we got an IL2 thread so I decided to start a Combat Flight Simulator thread for all three games and there add on's and so on.I'm doing the 1945 campaign on CF3 where the front lines have become dead locked but it's now spring. And I am on the loosing side in my Do 335 fighting for Germany, two missions in at the moment.

I've never really liked the CFS series. Dont really know why, I loved European Air War, but while waiting for IL2 I never gotten dragged into any of the CFS, skipped them and went straight to IL2. :hmm:

I'm still here after five operations took some damage and lost three wing men but we will fight on.

I'm playing CFS3 while waiting to get IL2 '46. How are you playing a campaign starting in '45? I can only always start in '43.

It's still deadlock in France 1945, the Allies have pushed into Belgium and here and there in France but we the Germans have checked them and we have taken back two U-Boat bases. Well I am in my new ME-262/A2 caring out a lot of ground attacks and anti shipping operations, no news from the eastern front yet.

Combat report for Oct/Nov 1945

After are successful operation to retake the southern U-Boat bases the Allies hit back by encircling them, we have lost ground in France. Meanwhile I was based in Germany where the air war is hot. The Allies are desperate and sent way after way of bombers at us with no fighter escort.

The result was a victory and a bloodbath for the Allies, they tried to break through and lost big time. We have stopped the Allied advance in Belgium but all hope of a out right victory has gone. We will fight the the very last day and take as many Allied planes down before the end.

must be either B-17 Mephis Belle or Mosquito Combat Europe that gives you the ability to start in 1945, 'cause I have the others (Or maybe it's one of the mods you use).

It's nice reports mate, I'll start posting my own pretty soon. I should point out that I do play CFS3, but also OFF, so I might give some reports from Flandern too.....

Biggles, I know this sounds daft but have you clicked this tab to find out?

The reason I ask is the B-17 Mephis Belle only adds more planes and missions, the Mosquito Combat Europe dose add D-Day campaigns along with planes and mission. I got no free mod of a campaign so it's sounds a bit strange this problem you have. :-?

PS: Rose as well.

Combat report for Dec 1945

Very little ground moment by both sides, me and my men conduct anti shipping operations for December.

Combat report for Jan/Feb 1946

The new year open badly as our ground forces tried and failed to seal off the low country's and if that was not bad enough the Allied surged forward in France. The Allies control most of France and we are feeling the pressure, three times I had to bail out while defending a production centre near are base. I have informed my men, The Battle of Germany is about to commence and we will fight to the bitter end.

Aaaaah, CFS....got the original floating around somewhere, great fun had on it flying against my friends from high school. Carbon Fibre Squirrels we used to call it...god alone knows why ;)

Had some good laughs, like the time I happened to be flying a JU88 and my friend was in a P-47 (I think) but didn't have the 88 installed, so to him I was flying a Me109...until he flamed out my port engine, on my screen it was just a standard engine fire...on his screen I turned into a giant moving fireball, it looked like something out of Deep Impact. Even more so when my starboard engine was hit about five minutes later... :hmm:

Flying in a random group online, getting three people on my tail, diving low to evade and suddenly reading all three names on the screen listed as 'crashed'

There were some great maps out there for it...probably still are on Flightsim.com (or nodesim.com as we used to call it) Presidenté was one of my favourites...

Good times...good times...

Combat report for March/July 1946

Yours truly was blown out the Sky's and three spells in the hospital, the Allies launched their spring offensive in to Germany and we were facing defeat but the Allies ran out of steam.

Combat report for Aug 1946

I was back in action for the great German offensive and we hit the Allies hard as we liberated Germany and parts of the low country's and we started to push back in to France. My men and I are amazed as we fought back and inflicted heavy lost rate on the Allies.

Combat report for August/September 1946

German forces made good progress and my men and I cause the Allies a headache as we hit there supply ships for two months.

THE WAR IS OVER...............
On October 26th 1946 both sides signed the armistice papers.

Take a look at the map the green line shows our darkest hour but the Allies failed to push on and we fought back and as you can see we nearly cut France in two.

Damnit! I'd love to have that 1945 campaign for CFS3!:damn:

oh, and does the war always end on October 26th 1946?

STEED

No, I had one that ended in 1947.

If I had too choose one of the two add on's go for Mosquito Combat Europe just in case the 45 campaign is on it, the guide book dose not say much but then again not many do.

Biggles, I just checked my Campaign Folder and found this one 1945-mosquito.xml so as I said in my above post this could be the one that adds this campaign.

I already have Battle of Britain and Firepower, don't have Mosquito yet...I'll buy it eventually.

This is btw off topic, but can anyone get their hands on Battle over Europe addon for IL-2? I can't find it anywhere.....
