Olympic waste of money

Anyone seen this one on the news? The Olympic geniuses up in London have spent £400,000 on a logo for the 2012 London Games. The result:

Well worth the increase in council tax for the London residents.

Best description I've heard so far is that it's Lisa Simpson performing a sex act.

ITS MULTICOLOURED! The original one was worse even. The mouth was a much stupider smile than it is now. And the stupidest thing is that the logo is like some flaming gay Inukshuk but those things are indicative of Nunavut and the North-West Territories, not BC.

But then again at least ours look like a thing. A flaming gay native thing.:roll:

The problems have yet to begin! You soon will be faced with bugets, spin on where all the money is going and what the legacy of the games will be, people fighting over the top positions while trying to avoid any of the blame, everyone trying to get there two cents of imput into the games planning and their 2 dollars of profit out of it, late construction, labour shortages, how to work when the games are on, what services are being cut to fund the games but made to look like there still there.

Then you have a couple of PR decions to make, what will the olympic torch look like, where will it travel, who will get to run it, how it will be paid for, who's going to light the oversized BBQ at the end ot the run (A.K.A. The olympic cauldron), how it will be lit, What will the cauldron look like (please not like a sponsor's product A.K.A Atlanta)

They joy's of the olympic's:D This coming from someone who's volunteered in two olympic's (Sydney and Athens) and done three torch relays (Sydney olympic, Sydney paralympic and Athens olympic) and lived in the host city for the Sydney games.

I Agree with Salior Steve, The logo's that were put up were better than the one used.:up: I got a feeling that the design people who came up with this idea are going to get less work after that effort!
