You can't post on the forum a picture from your computer's hard drive. The picture file must reside on the Internet, where everyone has public access to it.

I suggest using ImageShack (http://imageshack.us/) to upload your images to. Then, once you've uploaded the picture, you would display it here on the forum using bracketed IMG code. Example (remove the blanks when actually doing this:

[ IMG ]http://www.awebsite.com/myimage.jpg[ /IMG ]

I haven't looked at the link yet, but considering 65 years ago was 1942, I would say Operation Drumbeat got underway off the East coast. At that time My father was on his way to dutch Harbor for the Attu & Kiska invasions. I was wrong, but Midway fits the timeline.

Those were some dark days for the allies. Midway was a pretty key battle and it's a good thing we won.

This is one of the first big war-turning wins of that time for the allies. Dark times for sure, but that's when the scales had begun to turn :yep:


El Alamein would be quite soon, and Stalingrad would follow. '42 was, imho, the real make-or-break year for the allies, and they did what they had to.
