-POTC3-
THE MOVIEGOER: Right, we've got some pirates being hanged. Lovely and morbid, nice start. Wait, singing? That doesn't seem right.
MOVIE: Er well, just remember it, it'll make sense later.
THE MOVIEGOER: Well, okay, as long as you dont do this again, I suppose I can retain that.
-OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT THREE HOURS-
MOVIEGOER: Okay, holy crap, we've got the legend of blabla and the legend of whatshisface, oh but this legend too, can't forget that. Wait, is he betraying them? Wait no, he wasn't. Wait no, he was. What, what's he doing then? Who's that? What's the significance of this? Oh, the legend of that! I guess it'll all make sense in the end.
MOVIE: Wait wait, here's this other tiny insignificant detail that will later affect the entire story line!
MOVIEGOER: Hold on a minute now, can't you just tell me whats going on? I can't follow this plot if you never tell me anything, you can't just continue to insinuate and never reveal anything at all!!
MOVIE: Yes I can! *runs away with Frau_Phillips's money* Haha!
MOVIEGOER: Wait, tell me what was with the singing!!!
-CREDITS-
So yeah. That was a COMPLETE waste of my time. That entire movie was just little inside jokes from the other two and special effects.
I mean really, special effects are great, but it's just sickening without any kind of plot line.
And there's a fine line between having lots of twists and turns and never knowing what the flying f00k is going on. They like, ran so far over that line that they can't even see it anymore.
In short?

:arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!:
My wife and I saw it lastnight!
I guess if your not a Pirate at heart then you wouldn't understand it!
P.S.
It's entertainment ... not a bloomin' history exam
Same thing for "300"
Let your imagination run...

I saw it last night. It's really good (for these kind of movies) and I really liked it. keira is great (are you listening Dowly ? ;) ) and the plot interesting. It's a bit predictable but the special effects and fantastic.
I give the first one a 7 out of 10, the second a 6 out of 10, and this one a 3 out of 10. Yawn.

I'm being sucked into watching this movie by next weekend I hear. I just want to know one thing - is it worse than #2? The first one was good. The second one sort of felt like a waste of time, kind of like stringing you on to #3 without a real story. Now I see some people here rate #3 as even worse than #2!!! That is a scary proposition. I don't want to spend whatever the charge now days to watch something that is a waste of my time.

I've seen the first two films and all I can say is Captain Jack Sparrow is no Captain Peter Blood:
Mrs. Barlow (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0707771/): You would think of geraniums when every other able-bodied man is out fighting!
Dr. Peter Blood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001224/): Hmm. It's out of favor I seem to be with you, my vinegary virgin.
Mrs. Barlow (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0707771/): Half the town is saying you're a Papist.
Dr. Peter Blood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001224/): Why? Because I've the sense to sleep this night instead of rushing to my ruin in a hopeless attempt to put this Duke of Monmouth on the throne? He'd be even worse than King James. Make haste with that cloak there, my pretty one.
Mrs. Barlow (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0707771/): And the other half of the town that defends you claims that you're just a coward.
Dr. Peter Blood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001224/): Mrs. Barlow, me darlin', you can tell 'em if you like that I've been most everywhere that fighting was in evidence: I fought for the French against the Spanish and the Spanish against the French... and I learned me seamanship in the Dutch navy. And having had adventure enough in six years to last me six lives, I came here. Hung up the sword and picked up the lancet; became a man of peace and not of war... a healer, not a slayer. And that I'm going to be as long as I'm on top of the sod and not under it.
Dr. Peter Blood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001224/): It seems that you're continually doing me favors. Faith, I don't know why.
Arabella Bishop (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000014/): Neither do I. Yes I do. It's because you're so very grateful and always thank me so prettily.
Dr. Peter Blood (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001224/): Sure now, you

How was she there if she has been locked to my cellar the past two years? Dowly thinks, you are bull****ting. :yep:

Well.. she has been voted for the most beautiful actress in the world, so I wonder why there's this 'thing' between men and her. :hmm: ;)
Besides, I like women who can take on a horde of barbarians with only a bow like in King Arthur... you never know when a horde of barbarians surprise you in a dark alley. :88)
She is beautiful, but hardly THE most beautiful. She is easily beaten by Virginie Ledoyen, Jessica Alba and Monica Bellucci.

Nice taste there stabiz. I must say that Jessica Alba has fallen into disfavour for me, but Ledoyen and Bellucci are both drop dead gorgeous. Bellucci has a kid and is like 40 now but she still gets it done!

I love the cannons!
Plus...monkeys with rockets:up:
..Monkeys being shot out of cannons:up:
you can't beat that:yep:
I didn't think it was that bad, though, I'd agree with Miss Phillips (my new best friend) ...that the plot did seem to go all over the place for awhile.
...but the monkeys? You gotta love the monkey in a pirate costume.:arrgh!:
...and I DID notice Keira:D , then I found myself thinking about Dowly drooling over Keira, so, I watched the monkey in the pirate suit instead.
The end was a total surprise:|\\
Comeon Frau, let's go to the Olive Garden, I owe you dinner anyway.;)
:hmm: Kapt Phillips, I do believe nikimcbee just picked up your fiancee! :D

Keira's OK, but if you could get the witch from #2 to brush her teeth, she'd be my pick.:yep:
I just saw Pirates tonight -- thought it was highly entertaining and amusing, although at times the plot was a bit hard to follow. Otherwise, it was a great sea yarn .

She's even bigger in person, man.
Just running it through in my mind, theoretical like. But I reckon with Keira it would be like spending the night with a Xylophone, need bigger lasses in films Lucy Lawless for example.:o

She's thin enough that people suspect she may be anorexic. Her face is lovely, but I think she needs to put on a bit more weight.
