Home Base gone

First of all I checked this thread -

Looked up my info which was this -
CurrentDate=1942-12-12 07:33:35
DepartureBaseIDLink=Brisbane
DepartureFlotillaIDLink=BrisbaneCommand

So no change of base as this is my base and all I can do is refit. What the heck is going on here?

There's another place you might look to see your reassignment. Check this file:

C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name here>\My Documents\SH4\data\cfg\SaveGames\<most recent save folder here>\SaveData.rmr

Search it for an entry of the following sort:

[Log Entry 2]
Type=0
EntryText=From: COMSUBSOWESPAC|To: ASIATIC FLEET BOATS|EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY SHIFT BASE OF OPERATIONS TO PERTH FREMANTLE ON WESTERN AUSTRALIA X
EntryTitle=18:01 Operational News
Date=19420225
Time=1801
Categ=3
This file is the log of incoming radio messages - if your base was changed, there should be an entry in there telling you about it.

As far as the file you were looking at, was it from your most recent save? If not it's probably worthless (depending on when your base might have changed) :(

When you're looking at your save game files, be aware the most recent save folder is NOT necessarily at the top of the list in Explorer (or at the bottom), unless you sort descending (or ascending) by date. Forgive me if I state the obvious :oops: but it took me a while to catch onto that...

Checked that as well only news on convoy traffic and task forces, nothing on base change.
