Patch 1.3 hysteria. Are we slitting our own throats here?

Yes SH4 needs at least one more patch,but all the hysteria over 1.3 with the threats of lawsuits,the e-mail and phone campaigns and what seems to be attempts at embarassing Ubisoft come across as counter productive to me. And it seems to me that this will guarantee that we never see another sub sim...from Ubi or any other company.

Why should ANY company bother making a sub sim now? What we've shown is that if we don't get what we want,we rant and rave,threaten and harass and generally act like 3 year olds throwing a tantrum...not exactly conducive to ever getting any future sub sims made...by anyone.

What Neal and a few others is doing will get us much further than all the rants and threats ever will. You are dealing with a company and it's stockholders...you aren't dealing with the guy next door. You can't try to threaten and bully a company and expect them to cave in to you. The only way they will listen to you is if you CALMLY explain why a 1.3 patch is needed and what exactly you believe it needs to fix. All the ranting and raving will do is get you ignored and not taken seriously.

We already lost Sonalysts (spelling?) from the sub sim market,do we really want to lose Ubisoft too? Which I can all too easily see happening now.

I think we've already lost them. The devs couldn't finish it in time, Ubi obviously doesn't feel they a patch is worth the effort. I'm speculating of course, but I think SH4 is the last Silent Hunter we'll ever see. Goods points though. The constant complaining really isn't helping the cause. It will only confirm to Ubi that they took the right decision in abandoning the SH-series. Only time will tell I guess.

It is unanimous! We have enough of these. The fate of salvaging this game is with the petition and poll. Let it happen and see we where it get us. Message is pretty clear on continued series. Thread closed..
