I assume this has already been reported but I have had a CTD everytime I hit the "P" key to move from the surface to periscope depth. Does anyone have a fix for it other than waiting for the patch that probably wont come? Thanks! Joe S

I beieve this isn't actually a common bug like the infamous 'A' key crash prior to 1.2, however I have no idea how to remedy it, if indeed there is a solution.

Was you touching/modding your Commands.cfg file ?

This problem is typical for those using the noCD crack. If you are not using the crack, then it's likely a mod/config editing error.

I am not using the no-cd crack, so I will double check the config file. I made some changes in it but did not change that particular key (at least not intentionally.)Thanks! Joe S

Try another Commads.cfg and check if you have the same problem, try a modded one or the stock one... this game is so sensible, the change of a single type into a text line can cause a crash...

I downloaded some of the speech mods, is it possible that the speech file that is associated with the "periscope depth" command could be causeing the problem?

Iam adding one gig of video ram this week, is it possible that more ram might solve the problem? Thanks! JOe S

Ram is prob not your "P" problem, but you sure will enjoy the added performance once you get the damaged keys fixed. Again, I strongly suggest you dump ALL the mods and see if the game runs ok. You will know beyond a doubt then that it was a mod or not, AND you will be on the 1st step to finding out which mod it was.

I have not seen this one yet, I have however experianced issues when using some of the Mods published in here.
The best and easiest way is to uninstall, do a defrag, and reinstall the game from disk, then apply the 1.2 patch.
If your going to Mod it ? then apply each mod one at a time and run the game to find out which one is causing it.
Thats the easiest way to locate the issue, unfortunately, it takes some time and patence.
