Problem loading patch 1.4b [Archive] - SUBSIM Radio Room Forums

Hi, I'm a noob so be gentle! I have a new install of SH3 and I'm trying to load patch 1.4b but failing. The error message says that MissionEngine.dll is an unknown version.

Any help would be gratefully received.

This usually means your install has been changed in some way. Usually if you go to your SHIII folder, find the file and delete it (actually cut and paste it to another location outside of the SHIII folder) and then the patch will install. If there is any problem running the game, reinsert the file into the correct folder. I am not sure where the file is, but you can use the file search function to find it.

I ran into this problem before... All i did was update SH3 with the first patch 1.1, then patch 1.2 then patch 1.3 and finally patch 1.4. It worked after i did that

Hi mate, and welcome to Subsim!:rock: Another thing that is good to remember: Be sure you have the right version of the patch. There is one patch for the DL version of the game, and another for the boxed version. There is also different patches regarding where you live, IE: Europe or US. :up:

Er yes, um embarassed to say but I was trying to install the wrong version of the patch. :oops: The correct patch works fine. Thanks for the replies.

This seems like a very friendly forum, unlike a few I've come across.
