SH3 - Not receiving radio messages in Naval academy

Hello, am a first time user of SH3. When at the naval academy and during the navigation exam, i am told that radio messages have been received but I cannot view them. I have asked the radio officer to repeat the messages but he says there are none. I have v1.4.

Please help.
