i have posted on filefront periscope ranging charts for all japanese capital warships.

for people using 100 percent realism.

use this link if you want to use the charts.

i have not done destroyers or merchants yet, but i will, and i will add them to this book when i'm finished.
every stock ship will get attention, except for the sails.

Thanks for all your work on this. I assume you figured out what the magnification of the attack scope and TBT is, and I also assume that the attack scope is 1X or 7X and the TBT is 4X, am I correct? Thanks! Joe S

the attack scope low power is 1x, and high power 4x, the tbt is 7x.

i dont know what the observation scope is, ill have to check it.

but these charts are just for the attack scope and tbt.

i, am going to do the same thing for the horizontal line, because the magnifications
are the same for the horizontal , we can get speed and range that way too, just use the targets length. ill propably get that done in a week.

i think it should be done because its somethimes hard to see the masts at
a good disctance away, and at night, and much easier to see the ships length.

i think i shoot ww1 style, but i like a free scope, not locked, no PK, nothing,

i think some of you guys like a free scope too, thats why im doing it, to cover everyway, because you guys who play at 100 % know we are almost always information hungry.

thank you guys, its always worth the effort to make the game better for the community. you all are worth it.

have fun, and sincerely, i thank you

i was just checking these ranges using a t-3 tanker, with the tbt, and the ranges were not jiving with the charts, then i realized that i was using the ranges of the large modern tanker, which is not the t-3.

so i checked alittle more , the RM in game verses the RM that comes with the CE,
and there are 3 ships in the game RM that is not in the CE rm.

the t-3 tanker, the large minesweeper, and the minesweeper.

so many inconsistentencies in this game!:damn:

so i will add these three ships, and post the new version tonight, or maybe later

ok, the final version has been posted at filefront, the missing t-3 has been added, the minesweepers were there, just under a different name. so all ships for japan are there.

i noticed that a couple of people downloaded the "flash to bang mission"

that mission is not finished yet, its a mission that i would like to add to the submarine school, if its possible.

this mission would cover surface sound and sound when submerged.

it will cover muzzle velosity of the deck gun, the speed of sound, and the hydrophones.

muzzle velosity can be used to range targets, the same is true for the speed of sound.

what id really like to do is mod the binoculars, get rid of the red crosshair, and put a mil scale on it, composed of ten tick marks in the horizontal, when at 100 meters,
the mil scale would be 10 mils, end to end, at 1km, it would be 100 mils, at 2km it would be 200 mils, and so on. that would reflect the OT factor in ranging targets.

i dont know, i might really need the help of a great modder like breery, or someone tho.
