can't seem to refit/end partol

there's been no base change yet and there's one incomplete from after a previous refit(?). i had reported contact of a small convoy, tho it wasn't listed as that, and proceeded against it. sank 3 destroyers and 6 transports of various sizes with torpedos and the deck gun. the convoy consisted of 3 destroyers and 6 transports of various sizes. so, after all that, and putting my last 15 AP shells into a large liner, i set a course to RTB which is what i was advised to do when reporting the convoy. now that i'm back i can't rearm or end the patrol. looked at a coupla save in notepad and there's nothing about a base change and it should stuill be manila/cavite. put along side a pier at cavite and still nothing, even after reloading the save. gonna see what happens now when i go back in after leaving and saving. any ideas? thx


edit: tried a save before sinking the convoy but still in contact with it, had having sunk 2 DDs, i RTB and was able to end the patrol and dock. now i don't get the whole d@mm convoy:damn:

Possible Manilla has fallen and no one bothered to tell you. I recommend going to Java.

This has popped up in some other threads too. This needs to be looked at harder as it might have been forgotten or not finished by UBI devs.

I mean the none notification of base changes. To have to go base by base till you find the right base to end patrol is a pain. :damn:

Someone posted a solution to that.
The port where you should dock is saved in some of the files in your last savegame. The man who wrote about it even mentioned the filename and what to look for. It was posted either on this main forum, or in SH4 MOD forum. Have fun searching.

I've been cruising around Australia trying to dock - the last occurance of the base change shows PEARL HARBOUR!!!! Of all places.

Damn, thats going to be a loooong trip!

If you had your base at Brisbane in Australia, dock at the other side of Australia at Fremantile.

Usually it goes like this:
Pearl Harbour > Brisbane > Fremantile > MOTHBALLED! :rotfl:

Happend to me yesterday. When arriveing in Fremantile, my old classe sub, Balao, was mothballed because it was old, 6 moths old and then, they discard a CMOH and a bronze star plus a purple heart winner skipper.
It's a living... :p
