Sorry everyone for bursting your bobble, but the video itself with the original Russian dialogue is much more fun then the video with the subtitles (which I personally found sort of hard to read as they change sort of fast and I couldn't concentrate on them because I could understand what they've said).

Oh well, back to :()1: (isn't that what all Russians supposed to do as everyone seems to think about it?).

I think the movie is called 72 metres, 72 Meтра....
It's about the crew who hit a mine somewhere in a KILO diesel, and only one survived, in fact, the guy who was offered jewerly by the officer....

As someone said, the clips are indeed from the Russian movie 72 Metpa (72 Meters), which incidentally, is well worth a look - if you can find a copy - there are some versions out there with English subtitles as far as I know, although my copy is a Russian one, without the subtitles.

Actually you should be able to tell, even from my 'mickey take version' that it is very well acted and directed, and is mostly filmed using officially sanctioned access to Russian naval stuff, so it looks authentic too. The CGI parts are also pretty good and the movie features a great soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.

It's certainly 'more Das Boot than U571'. Check it out if you get the chance.
