Hi all. I know that in GWX we don't get as much renown for reaching our patrol grid and patroling it. I am starting a career in 1942 and want to have enough renown to get a type XXI when they become available in 1944 (without really having to cheat). Since renown is kind of a silly concept, I just thought I'd adjust the amount of renown I get for reaching my grid and patroling it from 400 to 500. I went to SH3/data/cfg/basic and opened it with the notepad. I simply edited the RenownReachGridObjCompleted=300 ... RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=200 ... CompletedPatrol=100. Is that all that needs to be done? and by the way... do we really get an extra 100 renown for finishing the patrol? even with no kills?? THANKS!!
You get a 100 renown for sailing into harbour and waving at the pretty nurses :D

Correct on all counts, although to clarify, the 100 is only given if you "dock at" a base.
If you use SH3Cmdr, ensure you rollback first. ;)
