Howdy folks,
Lastnight I was going through my volumes of submarine books and was wondering which Uboat is the better to have VIIB or VIIC? Aside from the 3seconds differential in diving time, what would be the other reasons for upgrading from a B to a C?
Same torpedo load, same range, same operational depth...
I looked in the Museum and found that there are 2 type VIIC's to choose from, one in 1939 and one in 1940. But the questions still linger about changing from a B to a C.
I've kind of grown on a B, I like the net cutter on the bow as it gives a more menacing look to the boat.
I have only been playing for about 3 weeks now and I dont know if specific battery and sonar upgrades are only for the B or the C-1939 or C-1940. If there is better sonar specific only to the C, well then I think I will have to upgrade, but if the sonar and battery are the same throughout the class, then I wont have to worry about changing.
If everyone could put in their opinions, much thanks!

PS. I think I've finally found the key in crew management and it is awesome. Understanding the qualifications and what works is much fun. My boat is personalized to my taste. On a Type VIIB, I carry 41 men, including myself. I think historically speaking, VIIB's had 44 men, but three less means more food and more space to sleep. And I dont have any problems with fatigue at all.
Last night I did my 3rd patrol on the western approaches to england and scotland and we did a clean sweep, 11 ships sunk, though the largest ships we bagged were 2 medium cargo ships and I got a small coastal tanker(my first tanker). The Tanker blew up with one shot, like a firecracker, and was split into. The shot was a beauty, right in the middle.
U-53 says: "CAN DO!"
edit: the otherships were small freighters and a DD and a fishing vessel and a sloop, maybe someone important was on the sloop.
