Hi All,

I think I saw a screenshot once showing an in-game recognition manual with colored sweet spots. What is the name of this mod? Is there a version that works with GWX (have all the extra ships "skinned" as well????)

Cheers!

I think this (http://www.subsim.com/subsim_files/patches05/fullvulnmod.zip) is what you mean....

Have no clue whether it is compatible with GWX but I doubt it is......

It pre-dates GXW but is reasonably close. It certainly wouldn't cover a lot of the new ships in GWX. AFAIK, there is no GWX equivalent although I have been known to be wrong before.

There is no GWX equivalent of the recognition manual. The critical areas exist only in SH3 but they do give an indication of where to aim in GWX as well. Don't forget the damage model in GWX is totally different and the torpedoes do more "random" damage than before. Still the manual can be used as a rough indicatior.

Good Luck:up:

Those sweet spots appear when you get an optimal firing point ( <1000M, and gyro angle +/- 10 degrees of 90), and when clicked, are aiming points. You can automatically aim at those spots by clicking on them, or, once you learn them, by moving your aiming point (after you lock your periscope on target, unlock it, and move it to where you want the fish to hit, then firing).
