The submarines were part of a shipment of 63 that had thus far been ordered, the company said.

Seriously, they ordered four, two of which have allready been delivered.
But SA stayed conservative and ordered conventional diesel/electric 209s, not AIP 214s.

South Africa with 63 submarines???:doh: OK it would be even more strange for Swiss or San Marino to have even one submarine (Though there IS a Swiss Navy AFAIK;) ), but admitingly it sounds a bit ilogical:dead:

They need 63 submarines because they have a secret alliance with the EU, which has a secret plan to launch a surprise attack on the United States, in which the 63 South African submarines will be tasked with destroying American SSN's and SSBN's. Jack Bauer and/or Jack Ryan being sent in to investigate. :hmm:
