Loading save game in SH3 1.4b with GWX

I recently (2 days ago) installed a fresh copy of SH3 then patched to v 1.4b, also installed GWX and I am enjoying playing at 100% realism. Only problem i have had is that when loading a saved career the guages in the control room are frozen as well as the hydrophone when i manually crew that station. Lets face it sometimes the sonarman loses a contact even though ive been tracking it for 2 hrs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also during the loading screen the lat and long are all 0's and my patrol grid is 0 as well. Even though my orders still say AM19.

Is that career you are trying to load created under the same conditions (GWX) or is there a difference in patch level?

Same experience here with lat and long, but never experienced frozen dials etc. The lat long thing never seems to interfere with the game itself though so I'm not really that bothered about it.

Sounds like an installation problem....did you follow this procedure ? :hmm:
Delete any/all SH3 files from C\MyDocuments
Install a clean version of SH3 in C\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH3
Patch it to 1.4b
Copy the folder and paste it to whatever drive you want.
Rename the folder ‘GWX’.
Now install GWX
Now install v1.03 and run it.
Create a shortcut to the desktop..
Install the SH3Cmd 2.7 plus the SH3Cfg file
If your going to use multiple installs I’d suggest a separate install of SH3Cmdr for each plus an install of MultiSH3.

Yes i followed those steps exactly. Its was as if i was installing for the first time. I then started a career and saved. When i returned the next day to load it i have these issues. The only thing i did was shut the french fix off under the mods, cuz well i dont speak french. I wonder if that is what did it. I may just unistall and start over since im not that far into my first patrol.

Make sure you've deleted all files in C\MyDocs (including any previously saved games/patrols).
Removing the French fix should have no bearing on your problem.

Unless you are using SH3Cmdr and no rollback was performed but Slapdog does not mention Cmdr so......

But he did state he followed my steps "exactly" in post #4 where clear reference is made to SH3Cmdr :hmm:
If he's done a completely fresh install re: above instructions that can only leave a corrupt file :hmm:

Correct no Cmdr installed here. Im only 95% positive i removed SH3 folder under my docs. Thanks for your help everyone.
