Help with patrol mission off Honshu?

I have been patroling off Honshu for over 32 days and have over 100K tons sunk but still patrol mission is incomplete any hints? I been all around attacking & sinking shipping what am I doing wrong :damn:

I also had the same problem patroling off Iwo

I have the same problem with Marshall Islands. I keep sending updates as to my position hoping that they will update my mission log since the only thing floating around Marshal Islands right now are American Convoys.

I think you have to be right near the mission patrol area icon for either 24 or 48 hours.

I would say that most of my time has been spent on or around the patrol icon.

If your mission symbol is a star with a binocular in it, then you have to patrol an area of max. 100 miles around the symbol for 48 hours.

Draw circle centred on binoculars icon with radius 51 Nautical Miles. Patrol for 48 hours ensuring you stay within the circle at all times.
