BOULDER (AP) - A criminal investigation is under way into whether crews doing drainage work in Boulder illegally damaged prairie dogs and wetlands.

This would be funny if it weren't so typical of the Boulder mindset and lack of common sense. Remember the JonBenét Ramsey case.

They carry the plague.

Here is another story, not 30 miles away.

DENVER - The Colorado Department of Health and Environment says a total of five squirrels and one rabbit have tested positive for the plague in the metro area.
...........Denver metro residents who see dead squirrels, prairie dogs, other rodents or rabbits are asked to use gloves or a shovel to place the carcass in a plastic bag. Then call the Colorado Education Line (CO-HELP) at 1-877-462-2911.

PS I like prairie dogs too, they make this screaming noise and disintergrate when hit with .223 (5.56mm).

wow. The bubonic plague. That is crazy.

Hope it's still gram-negative. Penicillin wipes that stuff out.

Hmm... my picture of a prairie dog with a machine gun isn't working.

Oh well.

I do get tired of all these animal groups who would prefer people die instead of the problem animals.

I like the ones with Cats slinging lead.

Speakin of animal groups...I live on a small island the families that live here enjoy sitting on there front porches at night and shooting the large rats that wander through we also have loosed upon the populace here some large felines to help in controlling the rat problem...We have been told by several animal groups that we are in some sort of violation...usually these people are quickly rounded up given health examinations and relocated off our island into more suitable habitats...

 :o :hmm: :rotfl: :rotfl: :sunny:

No, it's not crazy. Yes, Penicillin wipes it out until the pathogen becomes 'used' to the drug, rendering penicillin worthless. It happens every year with the flu. No kidding.
